FAQ: MoDesign Gag

Q: Is there a way to have custom messages for the gags?
A: There is. You can edit the notecards of the gag accordingly.
    Beware: Do this on your own risk! This feature is not officially supported!


Q: I have a Furry avatar. Can I edit the gag?
A: The standard gags are classic prim gags.
    With edit skills, you can adopt it to your shape.

Q: I have a speechtrainer or renamer. When I wear the gag, I get all messages twice.
A:  Speechtrainer, renamer and gag are tools that redirect chat.
    They do not work well, when used in parallel.
    If you want a renamer and a speech trainer and a gag,
    get the speechtrainer add on (polite talking) and the renamer add on for your gag.
    Both add ons can be used even with the gag off.


Q: Does the gag or speechtrainer work with the MoDesign Surveillance products?
A: Yes, it does. Those products are compatible.


Q: Why is the text of the chat in a different color, like messages from objects?
    Can I change that?
A: The chat gets redirected by the gag and after processing is sent as IM to the people in your vicinity.
    If people have set up their viewer for a different color for object-IMs, that color will apply.
    There is no way for you or a script to tell what color will be used by other people.


Q: Can't you use llSay for the chat?
A: I use IM or SayTo to prevent the nasty, unappealing "chat bubbles", shown in many viewers.
    It also will eliminate the nasty "whispers" when chat range is reduced.
    Even more the chat range is reduced dynamic, depending on the gag level.
