Which scripts do I need?

Which scripts do I need?

This is a very common question.
The simple answer could be:
You need the scripts which provide the features you like to have.

Ok, lets get a bit more precise.

First you need to think about where you would like to install the scripts.
There are 3 options:

1. Get the scripts already installed in an item
   This is recommended in general.
   You get a separate item that runs stand alone.
   (e.g. The MoDesign Rings of Total Submission)
   Very handy if you are not used in building and installing scripts.
   All lockable attachments are equipped with MoLock.
2. Install the scripts in a Amethyst compatible collar
   This is recommended for people that like to have everything important in the collar and own a Amethyst compatible collar.
   If you install RestrainedLife plugins you need to take care, that you don't install several plugins using the the same RestrainedLife features.
   You do not need to install a MoLock Script.
   
3. Install the scripts in any other attachment you own
   This is recommended for people that like to build their own stuff or turn regular attachments like jewelery or clothing in something more kinky.
   It is also an option if you own a non Amethyst compatible collar but would like to install the scripts in the collar as well.
   You need to install a MoLock script before you can use the plugins.

But which scripts do you need?
The MoDesign plugins are available in separate boxes as well as they come in sets. Not all separate plugins are part of a set tough.

You need to have a look at the sets and plugins available and choose the plugins with the features you like or you are looking for.


Notice for Amethyst compatible collar users:
Some people like to install a MoLock attachment lock in their Amethyst collar to gain more security, for MoLock locks faster and more secure then the MoDesign plugin controller.
If you do that, please keep in mind that the Plugins can only either be controlled via MoLock or the Amethyst collar. The following procedure is recommended:

1. Install the plugins, including the script MoPlugin v2.xx
2. Open the Amethyst menu
3. Go to Actions...
4. Open MoToys..
   MotToys must show: Mode: Amethyst
   
5. Now you can install MoLock

That way the Plugins use the owner settings of the Collar and it is recommended to use MoLock in Discreet mode to hide its dialog.
Hint: to access the locked MoLock dialog, you need to have the Command plugin installed and access MoLock via molock

3. All other items usually have their instruction notecards included. You can access them in the corresponding dialogs when you click 'Notecard' or 'Help'.
