Tutorial: Control IM

This plugin gives you the ability to control in very detail over the IM
(Second Life Instant Message Communication) of your pet.

All settings and their status will be displayed in the dialog box.

Newer releases may offer the option to activate settings on proximity. Please refer this extra tutorial about Control by Proximity to learn all about that.

The Control IM Menu

Allow All / Deny All
Shortcut to Allow Send + Allow Receive or Deny Send + Deny Receive buttons. Allow All is like a 'turn everything off' button, Deny All is like a 'turn everything on' button. The settings about Exceptions will stay untouched and will apply.

Allow Send / Deny Send
Use this to allow/deny sending IMs.
The settings about Exceptions will apply.

Allow Receive / Deny Receive
Use this to allow/deny receiving IMs.
The settings about Exceptions will apply.

Friends Listst
To Friends Send / From Friends Receive:
  • Create a list of up to 9 Friends to allow sending IMs to that friends.
  • Create a list of up to 9 Friends to allow receiving IMs from that friends.
  • All settings and their status will be displayed in the dialog box, as well as a short HowTo.
  • The Names on the list are shown as buttons in alphabetical order.
  • Add names by using copen chat, channel 100 while the the exception dialog is open.
    e.g.: /100 Mo Noel
  • Remove a name by clicking it.
  • Use On / Off to apply the exceptions or to turn them off.
  • Use Export List to export the Friends List
    e.g. from "To Friends" to "From Friends" and all other compatible plugins.
Note: Exceptions only apply if Send IM or Receive IM is denied. You cannot deny only to people in exception lists.

Exceptions: To Owner:
The owner will always be allowed to send IMs to the sub. However, with this option you can prevent the sub from bothering the owner.
This option is only available to the owner / Dominant.

Exception Second Owners:
Allow to send / receive IMs to/from Second Owners.
Hint: Using MoLock, the Keyholder will be treated as Second Owner.
Hint: MoLock previous version v1.50 only have the one Keyholder als 'Second Owner'.
