Tutorial: Bane Control

A bane- or isolation helmet, used to punish a subject with isolation.
This product is Emerald viewer compatible - approved by Mo
Inspired by the Eudaemon story.

Restrictions and violations are adjustable in a wide range, from simple wearing of a bane-helmet for fun to the full isolation experience.

The MoDesign bane helmet was created due to requirements of some friends.

Special features are:
- you can apply preset sentences by applying a banishment level
- you can modify the chosen level afterwards in very detail
- the system works without the need of a HUD:
you still will get the typical bane feeling with modified or
blocked vision or blocked interaction with environment
- you will be able to upgrade the system with new plugins and upgrades
- the latex design version matches the poc black latex catsuit 'basic'
- unique restrictions and violations settings


Usage

General
The helmet needs to be worn by the sub / bane.
The first time it attaches it will reset and generate a random Bane ID.

MoLock
- To get into control of the helmet, touch it and take the key.
- It is recommended that the sub submits to the Keyholder.
- Notice: as soon as you lock the helmet all set protocols and restrictions will apply

As soon as you own the key, you can go to the Bane Menu.

Bane Menu
  • Lock Menu
    Brings you back to the MoLock menu - you need that to lock the helmet.
  • BaneID
    Set a new random ID.
  • Levels
    to choose a set of preset protocols (restrictions, violations and punishments)
    go here and choose a basic severity of restrictions
    e.g. Set Level 2 for a medium hard banishment session
  • Details
    to fine tune the sentence
  • Restrictions
    These restrictions will apply and restrict the bane choose from the many options which should apply
  • Violations
    This is supervision of behavior.
    Any violation will lead to punishment.
    Choose from the many options which should apply.
  • Punishment
    This is to define the punishment for violating protocols
    You can set different punishment times to different punishments:
    - Time will add time to the timer - if you use the timelock - multiple violations stack
    - Freeze will freeze the bane in place - multiple violations don't stack
    - Blind will blind the bane in place - multiple violations don't stack
  • Status
    Gives you a list in chat about the applied Restrictions and Violations
  • Plugin Menu
    Access to further plugins and upgrades

Locking:
  • Usually you will use the Timelock to lock the helmet in place.
  • You also can use the standard lock
    please refer the MoLock tutorial about locking options.

Using several Operators
  • If you use but one operator, the standard Keyholder, the one that locked the helmet, will be the operator.
  • If you need more operators:
    - The 'master operator' needs to take the key.
    - The bane needs to touch the helmet and Submit to you from within the Lock menu
    - The 'master operator' is now registered as 'Dominant' and has a new option: Second Owners
    - Use the second owners Option to add or remove other operators.
    They need not be near, they don't need to be online
  • Notice:
    - master operator is named 'Domiant'
    - all other operators are 'Second Owners'
    - for more information see the MoLock help or the MoDesgin FAQ
    - Dominant and Second Owners will always be able to Take Key and to operate the Plugins.

Setup - do this before the first usage:
  • Wear your helmet - usually at skull.
    If you attach it at any other point, the helmet might hover somewhere away from you.
  • Adjust size and position with the help of Edit.
  • If you are comfortable, detach the helmet and attach it again
    This is IMPORTANT to save the adjusted settings.
The helmet is now ready to be used.
DO NOT drop the helmet, for that will remove the saved positions.

Adjust Design
Choose the Design you like most out of the given options.


Requirements
This helmet uses manipulations of the environment settings to change the vision of the wearer.
That way, no HUD is needed to be worn by the sub. However, you need to take care about some requirements and have some special characteristics of this method in mind.

Requirements:
  • RestrainedLife v 1.14 or higher

  • Graphics settings set to HIGH or higher (recommended)
  • Do not wear any other RLv toy that is manipulating the environment settings or that does deny to change these settings.
Characteristics:
  • Easy usage - no HUD needed.
  • If any other RLv toy is manipulating the environment settings or preventing access to them, this item
    - may fail to blind or manipulate vision
    - may fail to reestablish default vision after usage
    - This behavior is due to the way the access to environment settings is implemented within the RestrainedLife viewer.
    - As far as I know (I talked with Marine Kelley) there are no plans to change this.

Also Available
  • Add-On-set
    - Blind add on: blind the bane for some time or permanent
    - Report add on: get detailed reports about violations
    - Band ID add on: program your custom Bane ID
  • Add-On Emote
    - allows to allow the bane to use full sentance emots
  • Bane Proximity Sensor:
    put a sensor to places you don't want banes walk by.
