FAQ: Restrained Life Viewer: What is it?

The Restrained Life viewer (RLv) is an extension of the regular Second Life viewer for people that enjoy a more 'real' BDSM experience in their Second Life.

It's main feature is to be able to communicate with scripts from in world to actually disable features of the client - like being able to send or receive IMs, like beeing able to chat or to listen to chat or to teleport.

Ok, down to the facts, what can be done with the viewer (version 1.10.4)

- Allow/Deny detaching an attachment (like collar, cuffs ..)
- Allow/Deny reading IM
- Allow/Deny sending IM
- Allow/Deny reading chat
- Allow/Deny talking chat
- Trunk Emotes to 25 letters
- Teleport restrictions
- Enforce to 'sit' on an object
- Allow/Deny reading Notecards
- Allow/Deny access to Inventory
- Allow/Deny Rezing of objects
- Allow/Deny Edit
- Lock Body items (skin, eyes, hair, shape)
- Lock Clothes - worn or unworn (non prim)
- Undress Clothes (non prim)
- Detach worn attachments

Ok, pretty much already .. but how is it done?

To apply that restrictions you need special scripts.
Many SL BDSM-designers already offer RLv products.

There are 'ready to use' products available, as well as but
scripts or plugins to add to 3rd party products or items you made yourself.
